Notes: Research led from Victoria University of Wellington has identified hotspots for the conservation of Syzygium maire (maire tawake, swamp maire) from myrtle rust. Plot data from NVS were supplemented with occurrence records to produce distributions that identified priority areas for conservation based on low myrtle rust risk and accessibility for management activities.
